A proposal developed by the Clinton Kirkland Improvement Corporation (CKIC) and submitted by the Village of Clinton and the Town of Kirkland was awarded the Mohawk Valley Region’s $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant from New York State in February 2023.

A Local Planning Committee then developed a Strategic Investment Plan, from which New York Governor Kathy Hochul selected 11 local projects to receive a share of $9.7 million. Included among those projects is $600,000 for a Small Project Fund that will be administered by CKIC.
