“Best Practices for Finding and Writing Grants” is a two-hour free seminar on Monday, March 18, open to all Clinton and Kirkland nonprofits, businesses and government agencies. Any member of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce is also welcome to attend.
The Clinton Kirkland Improvement Corporation (CKIC), the Clinton Chamber of Commerce, and Hamilton College are co-sponsoring this free seminar to help community groups secure grants for their organizations. Representatives from the New York Department of State, Mohawk Valley EDGE, Empire State Development Mohawk Valley Region, and Mohawk Valley Economic Development will discuss how to conceptualize a project and find grant opportunities, and provide tips on how to prepare your grant application.
In addition, Clinton and Kirkland anticipate receiving $600,000 this spring as part of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative for small projects in the DRI zone. An overview of the Small Projects Fund and how it will be administered by CKIC will also be discussed at the seminar.
