Clinton Kirkland Improvement Corporation

Mission

The Clinton Kirkland Improvement Corporation (CKIC) fosters collaboration with the Village of Clinton and Town of Kirkland, including Clark Mills and other hamlets, by planning, implementing and supporting diverse and equitable opportunities that enhance the quality of life for all residents and visitors.

Vision

CKIC envisions the Village of Clinton and Town of Kirkland as the safest, most vibrant, and inclusive community in New York State where natural beauty, cultural richness, and economic opportunity flourish in harmony. Together, we’re building a community that thrives through collaboration, volunteer spirit, and a shared commitment to living in balance.

History

CKIC was formed in December 2021 as a 501 (c) 3 organization, but its members have been working on the community’s behalf since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. Initially, this group of local leaders met weekly by Zoom to determine the best ways to keep our village and town safe and our businesses viable. Now they’re focused on developing and managing projects to create or stimulate economic and community improvement.
